Innovation and women's power in the management of RUAG International
Deborah Müller joined RUAG International's Senior Leadership Team on March 15, 2021. As Director of Innovation and Business Development, she will drive the bundling, development and implementation of innovations as well as the implementation of the long-term vision.
Sale of RUAG Simulation & Training completed
The aerospace company RUAG International and Thales have successfully completed the sale of the RUAG Simulation & Training business unit. Thales will take over all business activities and all 500 employees in four countries at the beginning of May. With this sale, RUAG International is concentrating more on its core activities in the space market.
Further success in RUAG International's divestment strategy: Pilatus takes over RUAG Aerostructures' business in Emmen
As a business segment of RUAG International, RUAG Aerostructures Schweiz Ltd in Emmen is selling its entire machinery to Pilatus Aircraft Ltd, in the course of which Pilatus will also gradually take over all of the approximately 230 employees at the Emmen site. RUAG International is thus achieving a further milestone in its privatisation strategy and has implemented sustainable follow-up solutions for all businesses areas and their employees and customers, outside its space business.
RUAG International develops positively in the first half of 2021
RUAG International substantially improved its business performance in the first half of 2021. Order intake and sales developed positively for both Space and Ammotec, and the aerospace business stabilized. At CHF 575 million, consolidated net sales were on a par with the previous year (CHF 570 million). EBIT is again clearly positive at CHF 26.9 million (previous year CHF -41.7 million).
Pandemic and exceptional expenses weigh heavily on results of RUAG International
The biggest crisis in the aviation industry weighed heavily on results in the 2020 financial year. Sales of CHF 1,181 million (previous year: CHF 1,388 million) are set against an EBIT of CHF -224 million (previous year: CHF -80 million).
RUAG International enters into sales agreement with Beretta Holding on Ammotec
RUAG International has concluded an agreement on the sale of its Ammotec business unit to the Beretta Holding. As envisaged by the Swiss Federal Council, the Ammotec division will be divested - with site assurance for Thun and transfer of all employees. The closing of the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals. The parties have agreed not to disclose any financial terms.
New horizons: RUAG Aerostructures becomes part of Mubea, a leader in lightweight construction
The Swiss aerospace group RUAG International has sold all shares in RUAG Aerostruc-tures Germany & Hungary to the German Mubea Group at the end of December 2023. The final transfer of ownership (closing) marks another successful step in the implementation of RUAG International's privatization strategy.
Upcoming change in the Chairmanship of the Board of Directors of RUAG International Holding Ltd
The President of RUAG International Holding AG, Dr. Remo Lütolf, will reach the age limit of 70 years applicable to federal enterprises during the next election period. As agreed with the owner, he will not stand for re-election at the General Meeting on May 20, 2025.
RUAG International 2022 with full order books and three successfully sold business units
In a challenging market environment, aerospace company RUAG International achieved earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of CHF 178 million in 2022 (previous year CHF 70 million) – also thanks to three successfully divested business units.
